Facility uses a date marking sticker that indicates the pull from freezer date, ready to use date and discard date. The package open date may not also be the ready to use date. According to an email on 12/7/22 from the category manager food service at Circle K, a new sticker should be put on the container when the package is open. I observed an open package of sausages in the walk in cooler without a new sticker. The original sticker on the sausages says discard date of 5/25/23. Anything left over at the end of the day must be discarded. I also observed a container of open sausages in the cooler without a date markings. The PIC was unsure when the package was opened so it was discarded. Corrected on site. Ensure items are date marked once open and are used with 7 days total.
